Common Name: Double-crested Cormorant
Description: Large, dark water bird with a long neck, orange-yellow throat pouch, and bright blue eyes. Swims low in the water with its bill tilted upward. When on shore, often has wings extended. Kink in neck in flight. Tail longer than that of Brandt's Cormorant. The only cormorant found inland.
