Common Name: Common Murre

Description: Penguin-like water bird the size of a small duck that lives in northern oceans. Head, neck, back, and wings black; underparts white. In non-breeding plumage, throat and cheeks also white, with horizontal black mark from eye through cheek. Stands erect on sea cliffs.
